Seeing as the DZ's just didnt work, they got sold! Then about a month ago i sent some 18" Audi Q7 wheels to the painters...to be painted....a colour...

    Started out something like this....

Then i saw one of these on ebay and gave me ideas..

    Which resulted in this:

What do you all think? Might still get them done black by summer...or ill probably end up with another set of wheels....

Btw...they do appear a lot brighter in the photos than in real life....

It is a nice A3 although i dont see it much! You should of gone 215/40/17, 225/40/17 won't of been stretched enough so that the tread is in the arch. The more stretched the better i think your just legal now with the 215/45 by the looks of it. The 10Js look the bizz i like them on the A3 you going for colour coding on the bumpers to make it look lower?

Thanks everyone! I dont think im gonna have the black bits colour coded, i like the black on it..splits things up a bit...

I would have gone with more stretch, but the wheels are only 8j wide..so there isnt much more choice than 215's...apart from 205/35's which are like rocking horse sh*t and pricey! Neutral

Part of me wishes i kept the DZ's...especially with all the nights of polishing the dishes i put into them! And wished i just put some heavy camber on the rear to make em work, but never mind...im still looking out for some more shiney dished wheels lol...with a more friendly offset...

So. At weekend i picked up a little upgrade for the car...

Spent a bit of sunday cleaning it and stripping bits off it, spent the last few evenings taking it apart. Most of its stripped off now ready for painting. Gotta order some stuff for it, turbo, manifold, injectors, hoses, pipes etc...usual stuff really...

On to some pics...how it looked on saturday and sunday...
