    Sold my Leon 2.0litre TDI

Post by MkIISimon on Tue Oct 06, 2009 2:26 am

With second hand car prices increasing for the first time in a good few years I thought I'd move my Leon on to a new home. I've not had it long and have loved it but somebody offered me 750.00 more than I paid for it, which I couldn't really refuse. So, at the end of seven months of fun, it's gone.
Now, the big question is, what do I buy myself now???
Time to go car shopping - hurray!

Ha, ha, ha, that has made me laugh out loud Jezz, that's the funniest description of a bus I've ever heard - genius.
No, I'm using the Mini Cabriolet until I find something that I want. (Sorry for swearing on here)!
Whilst I loved the Leon, it was so thirsty that I'm probably going to get either a deisel or something with the new VW/Audi Group 1.4TSI engine in it. I was putting 240.00/250.00 of petrol in the Leon a month!!!
Catch you soon pal, it's been far too long.

Wow! 750 profit on a relatively new car is extremely good going!

Interested to see what you get next then bud. I know how particular you are!

Yeah, I was really happy with the sale of my old one, although I'm missing the punch of that 2.0litre turbo already and the noise of the exhaust!
Think I might have bought a new one to replace it with though - just in the process of haggling with the dealer over the telephone as it's down in Oxford!
You'll laugh your head off if I get it!!!

Registered in February 2008 so nearly two years younger than my other one which was Registered in June 2006 and 2.0litre TDI as opposed to 2.0litre petrol. One owner from new. I'll have to put 850.00 towards it, which I'm happy with. Still not signed on the dotted line, but we're haggling over bits and pieces. Fingers crossed.

Bingo, deal done. Even got them to agree to deliver it to my house, which isn't bad as the main dealer I've bought it from is in Oxford. I get it a week on Monday - hurray. Only got to suffer the indignity of driving a Mini Cooper Cabriolet for another ten days!

Here are some pics lifted from the main dealers website:

Ha, ha, ha, so there you have it, exactly the same as the one I've just sold, except for being almost two years newer, slightly face lifted interior and with the 2.0litre TDI lump in it rather than the 2.0litre TFSI petrol lump.

    LOL - separated at birth!

Did you keep your sporty knob, or did that go with the old motor?

That plot doesn't look like a Main Dealer's site though... scratch

No, I left the Momo gear knob on the old one. (Mainly because fitting the old one back on would have been impossible).
I know, the plot looks well dodgy but I've checked it out and it is legit. They are only a small dealership and have two plots of land. These photos are taken at the one they use to hold some of the stock. The garage is called Humphris (Oxford) Ltd and they sell two brands, Hyundi and Seat as well as being an approved Nissan Service Centre.

It's the 140 bhp version Jezz. Got a K&N panel filter to fit initially, which should give it between 2 and 4 bhp more.

Not that much anymore. I've been looking at an APR VAG remap at Awesome which takes it from:
    140bhp - 235lbs/ft
    170bhp - 279lbs/ft
    It's 375.00
    What do you reckon?
